A ridicoulus rant about things that are mildly important to me

Practical use of our school time.
In school we learn a lot of important things, or things that could be important if we go into a job field that can use the things we learn. People who plan to be scientists, can use things like knowledge of basic cell units. That also brings up another point it’s just BASIC knowledge it isn’t even really all we would need to know to specialize in a job.  So I think we should have specialized classes so people can learn things they plan to use in a job.
Knowing a little about everything can be important like addition, subtraction, how our bodies work etc. But not all of the stuff we learn is very practical. Sometimes it just seems like we are learning useless facts that we just have to memorize for the next test.  I am learning in geometry how to find the side lengths, and angle measures of a triangle without being told. How many jobs can you list that could use that? A carpenter, a math teacher. Not many that is for sure, that’s because it’s not very practical it isn’t something we will us everyday. Things that could be useful are social skills how to balance a check, how to write a resume, and useful skills, that employers will look for.
Their of course is the problem that kids may not know what they want to do. But if we could find some way to evaluate skills and play to peoples strengths we could use tha to decide what some one wants to do. Of course they would still be able to cose what kinds of jobs they will pick in the future. And even if they decide to go into a different job field then what they practiced and that’s perfectly fine. If they decide to change the classes they take in the middle of their high school career they would just be switched into the basic unit for the field their switching into.
I recommend that we use classes that are specialized for groups of students depending on what field of work they want to engage in after their school time.  Even some students who have had a high school education, and sometimes even a college education can’t get jobs just because it’s hard to find a job in this economy.  This would also prepare them for getting a job right out of high school.
